Your Pet Loss Stories

'Narla and Tamara An Unbreakable Bond'

by Tamara
(Sydney, Australia)

I have always loved animals. When I was fifteen I got given a white Pitbull puppy by a friend. As soon as I saw her I loved her, I just knew that we were going to be best friends. To me, she was much more than just a pet she was my best friend. She followed me everywhere I went, if I was cleaning my room she would just walk in and sit on my bed. Every morning she would come and jump up on my bed and cuddle me. When I was upset she would come and sit in my lap as well.

Unfortunately she has developed lung cancer that can't be treated and has to be put to sleep tomorrow as she is in a lot of pain. It has been the hardest decision I've ever had to make but I don't want to her to suffer. She will always be in my heart and I will never forget her. I love her so so much and I know she loves me too.

She is only seven and I wish she could have lived longer but I'm still very grateful for the time that I had with her and all the happy moments we had together. We were best friends and no matter how sad I was she always put a smile on my face. She is such a sweetheart and I know that when she goes, she will got to heaven along with all the other animals.

I will treasure all the precious memories for the rest of my life. I love her with all my heart and always will. My Narla :(
