Your Pet Tributes

'Billy Bob "Larry" Wilson' 1997-2011

by Denise Mendez
(White Pine, TN)

Billy Bob was born on April 12, 1997, when I was 17 years old. We had his Daddy Ebony Luke and Momma Lindsey. Lindsey had a litter of five. Billy was the first one born and was mine from the day I laid eyes on him. When I got married at 21 years old Billy stayed behind with Dad and Mom, but I always saw him, because my parents are my neighbors.

Billy was diagnosed with heart failure in 2007 and the vet said we may want to put him down, but we decided we would give him meds to help. They did, because we got to be with him a few more years. He went blind in 2008 and he was doing fine, but around Sep 2010 he started to get worse. By this month of March he had lost 20 pounds for no reason and hurt all the time. he would scream in pain.

On March 11, 2011 we had to make the painful decision to put him to rest. I went with my husband and Dad and he licked me, like he was saying goodbye. I didn't stay for the whole thing, but I'm glad I got to say goodbye. I miss him everyday. I'll never forget him and will always love him.

Until we meet again enjoy playing at Rainbow Bridge with your Daddy Ebony Luke, Momma Lindsey, and cat cousin Snowball. We miss you so much!!! Your sister Leah is looking for you....

Love,

Denise, Dad, Mom, Carmelindo, Dachshund sister Leah,

Bunny nephews and niece Thumper, Dudley, and Binky
