Your Pet Tributes

'Ivan'

by Maddie

Rest in peace little guy. You were the best first kitty any four year old could ask for and these past eleven years have been amazing. You were such a good little shadow -- everyone used to laugh about how cute you were when you would follow me around the house when I called you.

My last memory with you is one I will always cherish: sitting on my bed with you on Friday night reading you "Stories to Tell a Cat" by Alvin Schwartz. You were always such a good boy; you never tried to run out the door when we opened it.

I saved some of your fur and I got some photos of you so your prescence will continue to live on. I know that you are in a better place now and God will take care of you in heaven. The nice vet who took care of you said they will spread your ashes out in an apple orchard so you can be free and live on in happiness.

Know that you will always be in my heart and prayers and no one will ever be able to replace or forget you. I love you with all my heart Ivan and I hope you will never forget that. Do you remember that silly song I used to sing for you when you were little? Well here you go:
"Under a shady tree just you and me, yeah under a shady tree just you and me. I love my Ivan yes I do, I love my Ivan yes it's true."

I still keep expecting you to come into my room and lick my nose like you always used to. Three states, four houses, and eleven years later <3

Your family loves you pretty boy. Watch over us from above <3.

Love,

Daddy, Mommy, Maddie, Sophie, and Lily
