Your Pet Tributes

My girl Thea died yesterday, October 13. She and I were together for 18 wonderful years. She had kidney disease and I had to make the decision to end her life and therefore, end her pain and suffering.

Thankfully, she declined quickly and didn't live too long with pain. I'm forever grateful for the vet coming to the house to make this happen. I was able to hold her in my arms and talk with her while she went... probably easier for her than me.

Part of me died that day with her. I've been a mess ever since (all 24 hours and 45 minutes). I know it will get easier but I will always love and miss her. There will always be a piece of me missing.

My pretty girl is at peace now. I will still keep a glass of ice water waiting for her as I know how much she loved that. I keep looking for her and hope that she will visit me in my dreams soon so I know she's alright.
