Shannyn and Beaui's Story so far

Basically I lost my beloved pet Beaui to chronic sickness. He had chronic renal failure and suffering from severe dehydration. Me and my partner tried to save him but couldn't. We are utterly devastated, especially myself as I had a very close bond with my boy. My days were spent taking care of him and trying to help him live a comfortable, hopefully extended life.

His health progressively got worse last Monday. It was almost overnight that he seemed to get worse. We took him to the vets Monday evening who callously and insensitively asked us well do you want to give the needle now or what cause he's got no chance. We tried him on Subcutaneous Fluid Therapy after going to another vet for three days before his health deteriorated. He refused to eat his food or drink and had lost a lot of weight.

We decided after much agonizing that the best thing to do was to let our boy pass on. So on Thursday we had him euthanized. We are both so torn and devasted. My partner seems to be in a lot of denial and numbness which concerns me a little. I'm barely coping at the moment. It's excruciating being in my home as there are constant reminders everywhere. Our home just feels so empty and lonely now without our baby. I have trouble doing anything. I'm really scared that I'm not going to be able to cope.

So that's our story so far.
