Your Pet Loss Stories

'My Beloved Bandit'

by Diane Boden
(Ham,Ont, Canada)

Bandit was 6 weeks old when I first brought him into my life and from the first time I laid eyes on him I wanted him.

He was 9 years old when he passed away and it is the hardest thing I've had to go thru I feel like I lost my best friend and my heart is broken.

No more waking up in the mornings with Bandit curled up in my arms and drooling all over me or nudging me awake with his head to come play with him or just wanting to cuddle with me.

Bandit loved to attack the sheets when ever you made the bed.

The worst part is that Bandit got really sick and he was suffering so much that I had to make the decision to have him put to sleep.

My last words that I whispered in his ear were that I loved him and to please forgive me for what I had to now do.

I know in time my heart will be full again and I will always have very fond memories of my precious Bandit because he will always hold a special place in my heart.
