Your Loss

I too know how you feel, I lost my boxer girl in February of this year she too was ten years old, it broke my heart to have to let her go, but I have the memories of the fun times we spent together in that time and it makes me smile.

I will never forget her she was a boxer full of both fun and mischief, she had an expression for every occasion and that made us laugh, so I do know how it feels. I know that they know we let them go because we love them so very much, but I believe that god only lent them to us and called them back because he had another job for them to do.

I found out about Rainbow Bridge when my boxer died and it has given me the understanding that I wanted so much, time is a great healer, it's slow but you will smile believe me.

I know how you feel

I know how you are feeling. I lost my baby last Wednesday and am in deep grief....I see him everywhere I turn as I am sure you do. It has helped to write about him and what we went through. We have to go on, even though it hurts in a way and depth we can not express to others. But I DO feel your pain. People say that time will allow us to feel good about the memories we have. Right now, I know it is no consolation because you want to look into those loving eyes and put a hand on that a solid body to feel them beside you again. I just keep thinking that my baby is in a good place where there is no pain. I don't think God would give us such a precious gift to take it away forever, having served it's purpose on earth...

Just take one day at a time and keep faith that your dog would not want anything bad to happen to you. Would he? I know mine wouldn't. I go on for him too....for his memory..to do him honor by remembering. I believe I will see him again and he knows how much I love him, even now. I think there is a world we can't see all around us and they are there. Looking over us, closer than we realize....I think we can look for signs of them and one day may be blessed to find one and then we will know with confidence that they really aren't gone and we aren't alone. Just keep your faith in that thought....you can get through this....God bless you and to help you heal.

Pet Bereavement Support Service

I'm so sorry to hear about your Boycie. I really think it would be a good idea if you contacted the Pet Bereavement Support Service, they are a brilliant UK based service who can talk to you about how you are feeling at the moment and help you to come to terms with it.

Their phone number is 0800 096 6606 (open 8:30am to 8:30pm)but you can also contact them by email at pbssmail@bluecross.org.uk. Of course you can also email me at any time, but I think they may be able to help you more at the moment than I can.

Losing Boycie has obviously hit you very hard, and whilst I hope this website has helped you, I think speaking in person to people who understand what you are going through would be the best thing for you right now.

Warmest regards and I really hope this helps.

Bunny
