Deborah I'm so sorry for your loss. Like so many of us here, you had to make the most difficult decision imaginable. Your poem is a beautiful tribute to Jess. For anyone who has had to make the decision to let their beloved pet go, and who have been struggling with doubts if it was the right thing to do, your words state it so honestly, simply, and with such love.
I cried reading it as I'm sure many will. I have struggled for 3 years with the loss of my dog Leya. I also had to make that hardest of decisions for her. Your poem helped me a lot and I believe it will help others.
