To Comfort You
by: Anonymous

Ed, I have just lost our Dusty. The grief has been so intense, that I can barely function right now. I have never believed that animals go to heaven either - until now. But I have found some articles that have convinced me. I found them on a website called Guideposts.com. If you go there, do a search by typing in "do pets go to heaven". The best articles for me were written by someone named Ptolemy Thompkins, but perhaps you will find others that strike a cord with you. I truly hope you can find some comfort there. My heart aches for you.

I know exactly how you feel my dog passed June 7th 2009 and it was harder than I could ever imagine. She was 11 yrs old. She was my heart and soul and the sweetest thing ever. I honestly feel like I will never find another "Sasha" her story is on here.

But you just have to be happy and grateful we have all those beautiful yrs with them and that their time on this earth was loved. A lot of animals dont get to feel that kind of love. I think they honestly do go to heaven. Like you said their souls are better than ours could ever be.
