Your Pet Loss Diaries

'Stephanie & Dingo Overmyer'

About Dingo

Dingo Overmyer my German/Aussi Shepherd + mutt mix.

When did you lose Dingo?

We lost him from complications of a tumor... called a multilobular tumor of bone, he sadly had to be put to sleep... broke our hearts to make that choice.

At which stage of pet loss grief do you feel you are currently at? Or how are you feeling right now?

Umm, working thru it... missing my furry friend. We have a small hobby farm and have lost a few of our favorite over the past 5 years, but this has been the hardest thing... he has been such a huge part of our lives for the last 11+ years, he was our first family pet.

Stephanie and Dingo's Story so far

We got him from a car in a store parking lot in Dec 1999. He had the most awesome eyes and markings. My sister in law bought him for 25 dollars as a Christmas gift for our 3 kids, but he soon became my 4th.

He has been in a small yard in the suburban town of Wildomar, Ca, to a small farm in Rushville, In. He loved the water, had been to the beach, traveled cross country with my husband in a uhaul truck and was a pain in the butt at times.

He had an awesome and deep soul you could tell when you looked in his eyes. He loved unconditionally and was defiantly was the top dog. I walk through the house and see his favorite spots and remember how he loved to "pre wash" the dishes... my heart breaks, I HATE TUMORS, I HATE that it made us make such a choice... I miss my dog!
