Thank you and love to you and Buddy :)

Hi Diana,

Thank you for your post about my Brandy :) Buddy sounds like he was an awesome guy too! I believe just as we all have each other now due to Bunny's wonderful site, that our pets have newfound friends in heaven too. I really don't think I'm just saying this to make myself feel better as there are too many biblical references to animals in heaven (or whatever place we all believe in after :)

I've personally learned to become kinder and more patient due to my love for Brandy. Kinda tough when you're of Irish heritage and a born and raised NY'er lol. Yet I'm thankful that I'm learning to apply that in my everyday life.

I read about your husband and him saying get over it etc. I'm sorry to hear that, however, I'd bet he loves you a ton and that could be his way of dealing with not wanting to see you in pain. Not all guys have the right words at the right time (trust me I'm a guy lol) I have a great friend who is like a brother to me for over 25 years and as great as he is, he looks at pets so differently than me that it's shocking. But I understand that there are animal lovers like we are, and then there are the "rest of us."

Seems to me that I didn't really lose Brandy as much as I've gained comforting friends here online. That coupled with knowing it's impossible for all our pets to feel pain anymore seems like a win-win :) I've actually been smiling more when I think of Brandy and all the crazy things she did in her life and I know it will get less sad for all of us.

I wish Buddy a loving rest in peace as much as I wish you a loving peace in life!

God bless,
~CT~

I am very sorry for your loss Diana. They say time heals. I think acceptance helps moves us forward. Your buddy loved you so dearly. My Spike is here at Pet Loss Matters too. It's been over a year, I miss him a lot.

You and Buddy will always have a special place in your hearts for each other. He's looking down with those baby blues, watching over you.

Margaret - hugs
