Jazz

I know that is hard as I also had to put my dog to sleep, but just think of those wonderful 13 years that you had with your dog, and that she is not suffering anymore.

With time you will find peace and comfort.

My prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry

I really feel for you. I am going through the same grief myself after the completely unexpected death of my cat Jess who was only 7 and must have had a heart attack. I can only say that after not eating myself for four days, today I do feel a bit better - and am excepting that I had no control over what happened, just as you didn't.

You obviously loved your Jazz so much and did everything you could. It is a sad fact that we will nearly always outlive our pets, and although I pray I don't have to go through this again with her sister, I would still one day get other pets (last time it took me 4 years) because of the joy they bring and how they enrich our lives. It just takes time. Love Nikki

I am very sorry for your loss. I know your lost. I felt the exact same way when we put our beloved Spike (our yellow lab - almost 10yrs old).

Finding Pet Loss Matters and how Bunny describes, that this feeling of being lost is normal (something you already read yourself). I didn't like being in my house for a while, it drove me nuts. But after a while you accept and smile at the places where your beloved used to play and sleep.

Hugs = Margaret

I lost my dog in September at 15 years old and I am still grieving. Your loss will take you through a number of stages. You have certainly come to the right place for comfort. This site is amazing.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. Please post a picture of your dear Jazz.
