I am so sorry for your loss
by: Dianna

As I read about your wonderful Abigail, it brought back fresh memories of my beautiful blue eyed boy Buddy. I lost him last June 11th, he was 20 years 2 months and a few days old when I had to have him put to sleep. Like your Abi he was a large dog, about 85 lbs at the time of his death, he was a husky mix, he to is on this site.

Our pets especially those special dogs take our hearts and run with them, they become our children and we do everything we can to make their lives as easy as we can. This site has helped me over the last 7 months, I still cry almost daily, I have my Buddy's picture on my desk I keep him with me whereever I go. If you have not read any of the Rainbow Bridge stories yet they certainly will lift your spirits.

I am a spiritual person, not really religious but since I lost my Buddy I find myself praying more and asking God to have the angels give him an extra treat and hug from his momma just until I can see him again. I hope you take some comfort knowing that there are other pet owners like your self who can understand your feelings of sorrow, and grief, even knowing your doing what is best for your baby, does not make that decision any easier.

Please feel free to post on my Buddy's site if you feel you would like to answer. Heaven has opened it's arms to your beautiful girl, she has the angels feeding her treats, she's running in green fields chasing those squirrels and when the time comes, she will be waiting for you and yours with her tail wagging waiting to see her people family again. God bless you during this time.

With much compassion and understanding.

OMG, tears are watering in my eyes after reading this wonderful story! You and Abby were best friend up until the last, and STILL ARE in heart.

Our beloved Spike, our yellow lab of almost 10 years is here too with Abby Girl He was a such a good dog. We miss him dearly. We have Josh now a red lab. He is so lovable.

I am very sorry for your loss. I know Abby will be in your hearts until you see her again..

Margaret - hugs
